Frijoles veggie burritos

Frijoles veggie burritos

A new burrito joint opened in Azabu Juban yesterday, with vegetarian burritos, fajita burritos, tacos and salads. According to the website, we get a basic wrap or taco with guacamole, and can pick and choose the fillings we like. The word “vegetarian” pops up all over their menu.

There’s only one store right now, but the wording on the website suggests there are more to come.

Tried the burritos and tacos last night. Really impressed. Very fresh food and very friendly staff.

What the H, though? The most expensive version for burritos and fajitas is the veg version. How does that make sense?

Yeah, I noticed that too. It can only be the avocado – is that more expensive than chicken these days?

hmm, maybe, or the beans? i buy avocados at a 128 a pop at my local veg stand, so it’s gotta be less than that wholesale and in bulk for the restaurant.

This place is great, ate there today and it was awesome. I think the pricing is for the guac is based more on what they get in the US for the guac. Avocados are more expensive in the states for whatever reason, and chicken is practically free in Tokyo.

Either way, this place is great and I love the free refills and the discount on chips, salsa, and guac when you order it with your meal.

Tim – totally agree with you. I’m pretty hooked on the fajita burritos now. This is what fast food should be like.
