AV Club interviews Jonathan Safran Foer

Awaiting the birth of his first child, novelist Jonathan Safran Foer, an off-and-on-again vegetarian, determined it was time to finally make an informed decision about his family’s diet. He set out to witness firsthand how our food is raised and processed, and how it gets to our tables.

If someone says, “I know the environment is in peril, but I just fucking love my Hummer, and I’m not going to worry about it,” we would say that person is ignorant, right? But what you eat matters much more to the environment than what you drive.
