Nepalese in Ningyocho

Nepalese in Ningyocho

Yesterday, I indulged on one of the best Nepalese meals I’ve had so far…at Kailash Villa. The homey restaurant was recommended by a friend who accompanied me there for this amazing midday feast. It’s located on the second floor on a corner of a large intersection, about a 30 second walk from the A5 exit of Ningyocho Station. During lunch time, they have six lunch sets which go from 750 (all include salad and soup), of which highly recommended (by my friend and the staff) is the Dal Bhat Set (1050 yen) which comes with curry, vegetable deli, bean soup (dal), pickle salad (achar), rice and crispy papad bread. In every dish, you get a deep, tasty  flavor–due to the perfected blend of spices, which isn’t spicy or greasy at all. Portions are fulfilling but if you want more, you can try the Kailash Villa Set or the Yoga lunch set (for the yogis…). Looking forward to dinner there to try everything else, but especially “momo” (Nepalese steamed dumplings) which are apparently delicious—and can be made vegetarian by request.
